Course Description: The Diode laser is the most commonly used laser to support Periodontal Therapy. More often than not the results do not meet up to expectations. By understanding the basic science behind diode laser use, the spatial parameters of the soft tissue that you are treating and the photothermal temperature dynamics your success rate will significantly improve.This course will review some basic microbiology and the Periodontal Pathogens that we encounter. We will provide you with basic application protocols using a Periodontal Treatment Model. A variety of surgical cases will also be provided in the course.
